Anyone under 18 needs parent or guardian consent to use Norwest Wellbeing services, and each children's service has its own age range: in-clinic child sessions are for ages 5–12, children's personalised audio for ages 4–12, and Once Upon Them bedtime stories for ages 4–11.
What triggers the policy
The policy applies whenever a service is for someone under 18. It works alongside the booking rules: for appointment and intake purposes a child is 0–12 and a teen is 13–18, and clients under 16 must be booked by a parent or guardian. Services are generally for ages 16+ on their own, but under-18s still need parent or guardian consent.
Age ranges by service
| Service | Age range |
|---|---|
| In-clinic child/pre-teen sessions | 5–12 |
| Children's personalised audio | 4–12 |
| Once Upon Them bedtime stories | 4–11 |
| Teen sessions | 13–18 |
What happens next
When you book through the child/teen flow at /appointments, the system applies the age-appropriate practitioner and intake form automatically. For children, the parent or guardian completes the intake and may be present in sessions. See your role as a parent. Records for under-18s are kept for 7 years from when they turn 18, if that is longer than 7 years from their last appointment.
Who to contact
If your child's age falls outside these ranges, or you are unsure which service fits, phone (02) 8069 9777 or email hello@norwestwellbeing.com.au and we will point you to the right option.
